Air masses determine our weather every day. Your students will enjoy learning about air masses and how they effect the weather as they watch a video, report on air masses, and take a quiz.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Identify the types of air masses
  • Describe how air masses affect the weather

  • Computer with projector
  • Student computers
  • Poster boards
  • Markers and colored pencils
  • Index cards with the name of a different city on each one (use cities in different areas of the world)
