Chain of Custody Lesson Plan

One of the captivating aspects of crime dramas is evidence gathering. Students will find this lesson plan exciting as they learn about the chain of custody in establishing how a crime occurred. They will watch a video, answer questions, complete an activity and take a quiz.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • define the chain of custody
  • discuss the steps in the process
  • explain the ramifications of tainted evidence
