How to See ACT Test Scores Online

Instructor: Donna Smith
You took the ACT and now you're anxious to know your scores. Learn how long it takes for your ACT scores to be processed, and how you can access them online.

Accessing ACT Scores Online

About two weeks after you take the ACT, you can begin checking online for your scores. To do this, you'll need to create an online ACT Student Web account by submitting personal and academic information, or log in with your account name and password. Once signed in, you can download a PDF with your student score report.

If your scores have not been posted after two weeks, check the website again on the following Wednesday or Friday, since these are the days that scores are posted, according to The ACT, Inc. The ACT Inc. posts approximate reporting dates on its website.

Potential Online Score Reporting Delays

Your scores may not be posted online within two weeks if you took the ACT Plus Writing test. This test has a longer waiting period. Look for your scores online in approximately four weeks after taking the test. Another cause for the delay of your test scores can occur when you sit for the ACT at a site other than a national or international testing center. You may get your scores in the mail before they are posted online.

On examination day, you should make sure the information on the test booklet matches what's printed on your ACT admission ticket to prevent any holdup with your scores. Also, if you owe ACT test fees, you won't receive your scores until you pay.
