About This Chapter

Your elementary or middle school pupil can learn all about animal facts when he or she explores this chapter. With text and animated video lessons on birds, animals, crustaceans and bugs, the chapter is geared toward young learners.

Animal Facts for Elementary School - Chapter Summary

The characteristics of different animal species are covered in this chapter. It includes text and video lessons that provide information about animals' habits, features, habitats and diets. You can make certain your student is learning by looking at the quiz scores.

This chapter on animals is kid-friendly. Its videos are animated, and both lesson formats feature written transcripts, relevant definitions, worksheets and course links. Each of the lessons includes a short quiz. Students can just click on the answer that they believe best addresses the question, then click the next button to proceed. Scores are tallied after students complete the last of the five questions. If any answers are incorrect, answers can easily be looked up and the quiz can be re-taken.
