Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Economics provide basic training in economics and finance. Most programs are designed to prepare students for transfer to four-year schools to complete bachelor's programs in the subject.

In A.A. programs in economics, students learn to identify economic trends and explore how political and social changes can affect them.
