Miami Dade College is a 4-year public school that mainly offers associate's degree programs, including several related to aviation management. Purdue University is a 4-year, public research university that offers an array of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. programs in aviation management.

1. Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN

School Highlight: This university offers nine student organizations for students that have chosen aviation as their area of study.

Purdue's Department of Aviation Technology offers a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management program, as well as Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Technology programs with a concentration in aviation and aerospace management. These degree programs are fully accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International.

2. Miami Dade College in Miami, FL

School Highlight: Miami International Airport houses some of this college's aviation classes.

Miami Dade College offers many certificate and associate's degree programs, in addition to a few bachelor's degree programs. Miami Dade College's Eig-Watson School of Aviation is located on the school's Homestead campus and has facilities at both Miami International Airport and Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport. The FAA-approved School of Aviation offers Associate of Science in Aviation Administration, Associate of Science in Aviation Maintenance Management and Airline Management Certificate programs in which students receive hands-on education and training.
