December 2013 data from showed that social service case managers had a median income of $33,418, nurse case managers earned a median salary of $65,093, and $33,517 was the median income of mental health case managers.

Certification Information

After earning a certificate, individuals can be qualified for case manager certification. The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) offers the Certified Case Manager designation. Such certification may be required for employment and could also serve as a mark of distinction when searching for jobs. Those looking to become certified must meet license or certification prerequisites, pass an exam and have a required amount of experience. Certification is valid for five years before it has to be renewed with continuing education classes.
