The Myers-Lawson School of Construction at the Virginia Tech (officially called Virginia Polytechnic Institute) offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Building Construction or Construction Engineering and Management. At the graduate level, students can earn a Master of Science (M.S.) in Building Construction Science and Management or Civil Engineering (MSCE). They also offer a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering Construction and one in Environmental Design and Planning.

The College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma (OU) offers a B.S. in Construction Science that has been accredited by the American Council of Construction Education (ACCE). This competitive program takes only 35 students each year. Graduate students can pursue an M.S. in Construction Management. Programs are designed to prepare students for work in construction management and integrated design. In the undergraduate program, students take classes in residential and large-scale civil construction, construction drawing and economics, surveying and project planning.
