Saint Paul College

There are many schools that have good medical transcription programs. We're going to go into detail about three of them starting with Saint Paul College in Saint Paul, MN. Here the medical transcription certificate program lasts 16 months.

The college offers a number of degrees in medical office work, including a medical office professional program that leads to an Associate in Applied Science. Students can also pursue certificate programs in medical coding or medical records clerking. Certificate programs for medical transcriptionists and medical receptionists are also available, lasting 16 months.

Maryland Community College

Another great school is Maryland Community College in Spruce Pine, NC. Its medical assisting diploma requires 48 semester hours of completed credits. The college offers both an associate degree and a diploma in medical assisting. Once enrolled, students learn how to perform administrative work for hospitals through 48 semester hours' worth of coursework. In particular, they find out how to produce medical transcriptions, schedule appointments and assist with medical treatments for patients.
