Assistant brand managers combine marketing, advertising and sales skills to promote their company's products and services. Their duties can involve developing product materials and helping determine how to price or package products. They may also be involved with informing customers about the services or goods that their company offers. In some cases they may assist customers to help ensure that they receive the ideal service or product for their specific needs. In this respect, the work that an assistant brand manager does can involve sales strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.

Assistant brand managers also review information about market trends and they use that information to help inform their recommendations for business decisions. They may work closely with marketing and sales staff in their duties. They help shape the public image of their company or specific products or services through branding strategies that are used for promotional or informational purposes.
