TOEFL Preparation

In TOEFL Preparation you will practice answering TOEFL-like questions and your answers will be analyzed. In this way you will learn to recognize 'TOEFL traps' and your own weak areas that need more work. The TOEFL class will be divided into a written part and a listening part.

English for Special Purposes

English for Academic Purposes

This course is aimed at Intermediate or Advanced university level students who wish to improve their academic writing and study skills. Work will focus in some detail on the organization of academic texts and the way language is used to express particular notions and ideas (e.g. description, comparison and contrast, cause and effect, interpretation of non-verbal data) and on the skills needed for effective study (e.g planning essays, using quotations and references, note-taking). This course is suitable for students in any discipline area but would be especially useful for students working at post-graduate level.

English for Business

This course will teach you all aspects of Business English, including writing reports, memos, business letters, using internet for business, making proposals and presentations, and doing business internationally in English.

English for Marketing

The goal of the course is for participants to learn the vocabulary of marketing, and to understand the principles of marketing as taught in the United States. Students will have a chance to make their own online marketing presentations using the World Wide Web.

Listening, Speaking & Pronunciation

Listening & Pronunciation for Internet

This course requires a sound card, microphone, and familiarity with Real Audio's encoder and player or ToolVox from Voxware. You will communicate by voice with your teacher and other students over internet, joining the growing number of people who use internet daily for personal and business Voice communications!

English for Speaking & Conversation

This course will use Internet Telephony and VoiceMail to help you improve your speaking skills online!

Grammar & Writing

These chapters will teach grammar and writing, so you can improve your grammar and boost your writing skills. You will learn important aspects of English grammar like how to correctly use commas, proper punctuation, sentence agreement, and much more. You will learn how to make your writing better by using the correct voice and writing clear sentences.

English for Internet

Language & Culture

Understanding American Culture

It's important to understand the culture of the United States. This course will introduce you to certain aspects of it: customs, habits, social interactions, holidays, rules of conduct, taboos, and humor. Knowing the language needs to be supplemented by understanding the people. That's what this course will try to help you to do.
