University of South Florida

Enrolling over 40,000 students, the University of South Florida is the largest Florida school to offer a degree in assisted living. The School of Aging that houses the program has been open since 1967, training students in a various aspects of gerontology, public health, nursing and more.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Long-Term Care Administration

Combining Business and Gerontology, this assisted living administration program cover 39 credit hours of long-term care courses. Students must engage in 650 hours of internship work at assisted living facilities under the supervision of licensed long-term care administrators. In addition to assisted living topics, student will also study computer in business, economic principles, basic marketing, principles of management and other administrative course work.

Graduate Certificate in Hospice, Palliative Care & End-of-Life Care

This graduate certificate is opened to all health care professionals with a bachelor's degree looking to learn about dealing with non-curable diseases and counseling terminally ill patients' families.
