Anthem Institute is part of the Anthem Education Group, which has been offering career-focused educational opportunities for over 20 years. The institute's six East Coast campuses are the academic home to nearly 5,000 students. Formerly The Chubb Institute, Anthem's goal is to provide quality post-secondary educational opportunities in the allied healthcare and technology fields.
Anthem Institute's certificate programs are accredited by the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS.) In addition to daytime classes, evening and weekend classes are also available. Fields of Study at Anthem Institute
Computer Networking and Security
The Computer Networking and Security certificate program offered at Anthem is designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs in the high-demand field of electronic security. Students participating in this program can expect to study topics such as network security training and computer forensic techniques and to become familiarized with various forms of network software. Successful certificate candidates will be eligible for jobs as network administrators, computer repair specialists or network security specialists.
The Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) program offered at Anthem is available as a certificate or an associate degree program. Students will receive training in both 2-D and 3-D computer drawing. Students will also be exposed to various drafting styles, including residential drafting, light commercial drafting, structural detailing and structural steel drawing. After completing the program, students will be eligible for jobs as CAD operators, drafters or detailers.
Students in the medical assisting program learn how to perform lab tests, update medical records and perform other basic medical and administrative functions. Graduates will be eligible for entry-level jobs in healthcare settings such as doctor's offices, outpatient clinics, hospitals and insurance offices.
Medical Billing and Coding
The medical billing and coding certificate program is designed to teach students administrative functions like the methodologies of insurance claim reimbursement, methods of maintaining medical records and the basics of medical office administrative tasks. Students will also receive instruction in medical topics such as human anatomy and physiology and medical pharmacology. Successful certificate candidates will be eligible for jobs as insurance billers, medical records coders or health information technicians.
Graphic Design and Animation
This certificate program prepares students for jobs in website development and design and multimedia graphic design. Students will receive training in the latest software used to create images and graphics, digital video and audio files and 3D images and animations. Students graduating from this program will be eligible for jobs in advertising agencies, public relations firms, corporate art departments and printing companies.
