Los Angeles Marketing Schools

Students who want to study marketing in the Los Angeles area have several schools from which to choose. Azusa Pacific University

Marketing students have two options at this university. The undergrad program specifically focuses on marketing skills in communication, business and accounting. The MBA program provides a broad view on leadership in business, but students can choose electives in marketing. Those applying to the graduate program must have a bachelor's degree and GMAT/GRE scores.

Bachelor of Science in Marketing

Students in this degree program will learn theoretical and practical knowledge in marketing and business. Business classes include accounting, management, business law, finance and international business. Specific marketing courses include marketing communication, consumer behavior and strategic marketing management. Students also must complete an internship for practical business experience.

Master of Business Administration

This program is geared towards experienced professionals who want to learn about management. Students will learn about current and diverse business issues, and they will also participate in national or international field experience. Specific coursework may include corporate finance, management accounting, marketing strategy and advanced financial analysis. Students can choose nine units of concentration electives in marketing.

California State University - Northridge

This school has two undergrad programs in marketing, and the graduate program has a marketing concentration. Those applying to the graduate program need to have a bachelor's degree and a GMAT score.

Minor in Marketing

Students have to take 18 units in this program. Required courses include microeconomics, American enterprise, marketing management and consumer behavior. Students can then take two electives in the field of business, marketing or economics.

Bachelor of Science in Marketing

Students in this undergraduate program have to take foundational coursework in financial accounting, microeconomics, business statistics, financial management and business law. Required marketing courses include marketing research, consumer behavior and a marketing management seminar. All students must participate in an experiential requirement, such as an internship or small business consulting.

Master of Business Administration

Students need to take 33-51 credits in this degree program, depending on their educational background. Those who enter with an undergraduate business degree can waive the foundation courses in business law, economics, financial accounting and statistics. All students need to take courses in marketing management, computer based information systems, economics and financial theory. Graduate students also need to complete a comprehensive exam or a consulting project.

Woodbury University

There are several degree programs with marketing courses at this university. The fashion marketing program can help students learn about promoting productions and consumer behavior. The marketing undergrad program focuses on general business principles. The MBA program has a broad focus on management, but students can take concentration courses in marketing. Those applying to the MBA program have to have an undergraduate degree.

Bachelor of Business Administration in Fashion Marketing

This degree program is geared towards students who are interested in the process and psychology of fashion retail and marketing. Students are required to take courses in fashion fundamentals, trend analysis, fashion culture, fashion retailing and field experience. Students must also complete an internship. Students can take electives in fashion promotion, store planning, fashion journalism and fashion production.

Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing

Students are required to take courses in marketing, consumer behavior and market analysis. An internship is also required for practical experience. Students can then choose electives like media marketing, industrial marketing, public relations and advertising/promotion management.

Master of Business Administration

Students without a business-related degree have to take preparatory courses in accounting, legal business, global marketing and financial economics. All students must take core courses in marketing concepts and strategies, managerial accounting, ethical leadership and managerial finance.
