Introductory Film Directing Course

Focusing on the production aspects of movie directing, this film production class provides an overview of technical areas such as sound recording and mixing, using 16mm cameras, setting up shots, lighting and post-production. Students work together on short films or TV commercials, as well as receive classroom instruction.
Screenwriting Introductory Course
Participants learn the basic concepts of dramatic writing for film and television. Subjects covered include character analysis, dialogue, idea generation, structure, genre, format and plot development. Students explore these elements in their own writing, work on short assignments and screenplays.
