The Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton offers career training in a variety of areas, including computer technology, electronics, pipefitting, welding and nursing. Nurse aides who wish to further their education can enroll in the school's licensed practical nursing program. The nurse aide and practical nursing programs combine time in the classroom with clinical hours.
The nurse aide program at the Tennessee Technology Center in Elizabethton consists of 120 hours and spans approximately 20 days. With 80 hours focusing on classroom lectures and lab work, the other 40 hours are spent receiving hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
The program covers a wide array of topics, providing students with an overview of what their future roles as certified nurse aides will look like.
