Students interested in this program should have a GED or High School diploma, and a GPA of 2.5 or higher. They will be required to complete an admissions test with a passing score, and go to a personal interview.
The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing program at ECPI University is designed to help students understand the different aspects of being a nurse. Students may have the opportunity to study biological aspects of medicine, like anatomy and physiology, as well as the personal interacting skills and critical thinking needed for clinical environments. Students may also be able to learn about different areas of medicine, like surgical, psychiatric, and pediatric. Alongside medical courses, students have the chance to study general education topics like English composition and orientation. By the end of the course, students will have had the opportunity to qualify to take the NCLEX-RN exam through the State Board of Nursing.
