Applicants to the Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing with a concentration in Screenwriting program should have a passion for the art of visual storytelling. All applicants to Southern New Hampshire University programs must have earned a high school diploma or equivalent.

Program Description:

The Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing with a concentration in Screenwriting program at Southern New Hampshire University instructs students on story structure, character development, plot development, dialogue, the visual medium of film, and how to combine these elements into a working script. Students will participate in three screenwriting workshops in which they will write, produce, and critique short screenplays. In addition to general education requirements, coursework includes an examination of the craft of creative writing, English linguistics, critical literary theory, the evolution of the publishing industry, and the current literary market.
