City College of San Francisco's Adult Programs
The City College of San Francisco (CCSF) offers adult education through its continuing education division. Most programs are aimed at adults hoping to develop a hobby, but some provide career training. CCSF has multiple campuses and offers many different types of adult school programs. Programs may not be offered at all locations.
CCSF's introductory computer class designed for older adults teach basic concepts in computer software and hardware, operating systems, word processing and using the Internet and email.
Writing and Literature Courses
Offered through the Older Adults Department, these courses are aimed at adults who want to improve their writing skills and appreciation of literature. Creative storytelling classes are also offered.
Wine Tasting Courses
Adults looking to learn about different types of wines can register for stand-alone courses. Class topics cover central coast wines, cabernet and chardonnay.
Students taking photography classes learn how to take photos using a digital camera and edit images. Adults can also take a portfolio seminar class and learn about photo processing using cyanotype.

Grammar for ESL Program
This online program runs for six weeks and offers intermediate and advanced instruction to college students. Course topics cover the use of modals, count and non-count nouns, tenses, phrases, and clauses. Students become proficient in standard English structure to prepare for general English language classes.
San Francisco State University's Adult Education Programs
Through their Extended Learning, San Francisco State University offers a wide variety of adult education courses and certificate programs. Many of which are available online. The school also offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs.
This is an online, professional development certificate program that allows students to study to become a certified pharmacy technician at their own pace.
