The College of William and Mary is located in Williamsburg, Virginia approximately 50 miles southeast of Richmond. The most popular undergraduate majors are business, political science, psychology, history and English. The College of William and Mary offers both undergraduate and graduate level degree programs.

Founded in 1693, the College of William and Mary is the second oldest educational institution in the nation. The college is known as a 'Public Ivy' because it offers an education of the highest quality at a much lower cost than that of elite private institutions. William and Mary holds the 33rd spot on the America's Best Colleges list and is widely considered one of the top 10 public institutions in the U.S.

Located in Williamsburg, the College of William and Mary is situated on a wooded campus that offers many recreational activities. More than 350 student organizations allow students to pursue interests ranging from politics to broadcasting. The campus has a fraternal atmosphere with more than three-quarters of students living in university residences.

William and Mary offers 40 undergraduate and graduate programs through six schools. Popular majors among undergraduates include business, political science, psychology, history and English.

William and Mary College is home to more than 5,000 undergraduate students. One of the 'most selective' institutions in the nation, the college has a freshman acceptance rate of 32 percent. Incoming students typically carry a grade point average of 4.0 and have SAT scores ranging from 1240 to 1440 and ACT scores between 28 and 32.
