The main campus of Purdue University is located in West Lafayette, Indiana approximately 70 miles northwest of Indianapolis. The school offers certificates in addition to associates, bachelors and doctoral level degree programs.

A member of one of the largest university systems in the nation, Purdue University - West Lafayette is one of six campuses in the Purdue University System located in Indiana. In addition to enrolling the largest student body of any university in Indiana, Purdue has the largest international student population of any public university in the nation. Purdue ranked #64 on the America's Best Colleges list.

In addition to its high overall ranking, Purdue took top 25 honors for its business programs in finance, management information systems, production and operations management, quantitative analysis and methods, and supply chain management and logistics. Purdue also ranked in the top 15 for 11 of its engineering programs, including industrial and manufacturing, agriculture, aerospace, materials, mechanical, civil, chemical, electrical, environmental and computer engineering.

Purdue offers certificates, as well as associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in over 200 areas of study through its eight colleges and 14 schools. The university is best known for the programs it offers in aerospace. (Note - the video incorrectly omits the mention of Purdue University's master's programs. In fact, Purdue currently enrolls over 1400 students in its master's programs.)

More than 25 percent of students major in engineering and engineering technologies. Pre-professional programs are offered in law, dentistry, medicine, veterinary science, optometry and pharmacy.

Students compete in a 'selective' admission process with an 85 percent acceptance rate. Most incoming freshmen graduate in the top 50 percent of their high school classes, have a grade point average of 3.5 and SAT test scores between 1,020 and 1,250 or ACT test scores between 22 and 28.
