Reconstruction:

Reconstruction is the period after the Civil War from 1865-1877 when attempts were made by the government to address slavery. Also, it was to remedy the political, social, and economic legacy and to solve the problems arising from the readmission to the Union of the 11 states that had seceded from the Union when the Civil War Started.
