Define sensory neuron
Neurons are the functional cell of the nervous system, transmit and receive signals throughout the body. Each neuron is composed of three major parts: the cell body, the dendrites, and the axon. The cell body contains most of the organelles and is responsible for maintaining normal cell functions. The dendrites receive electrical signals, whereas the axons transmit electrical signals to the next neuron or receptor cell in sequence.
