Is the earth flat?

Flat Earth Concept:

Flat Earth is a concept that the Earth is a plane; it dates back from the ancient Greeks. Despite the concrete scientific evidence, there are still a number of people who believe in this concept and it is even gaining believers in the internet era.

Answer and Explanation:

Is the earth flat? The answer is a resounding NO. The correct answer is that the Earth is an oblate spheroid, wherein the diameter between geographic north pole to geographic south pole is less than the diameter between equator to equator. The concrete, scientific evidence is that the Earth, itself, has been photographed, taken by satellites released into outer space. There are ways to prove that the Earth is a round/oblate spheroid without launching a satellite. The most convincing, and easiest to observe, is that the round earth casts a rounded shadow on the moon during a lunar eclipse.
