Bad listening practices mostly used are
1. Facts listening practice is the lousy listening practice as only facts are analyzed, no focus on the main idea behind the project.
2. Distractions while listening, an individual must not get distracted from attending because of surroundings and other factors.
Three ways to reduce lousy listening barriers:
1. Listen main idea or reason of the person behind the events and projects as this makes the listener more attentive.
2. Do not get distracted because of the surroundings and try to focus on listening to the speaker.
3. The bad habits like talking to the person sitting with us, passing papers and murmuring sounds must be avoided when the speaker is speaking. These habits are not good, and an individual cannot become a good listener with these habits.
Reasons for using effective vocal delivery in a professional context are
1. Effective vocal delivery helps in capturing and gaining a listener's attention as the voice reaches very clearly to the listener.
2. The clarity of the message increases as the pitch of the sound is maintained correctly.
3. Right, and the same words can be heard by the audience, as pronounced by the speaker through good pitch balancing quality at seminars and meetings in the office.
The possible consequences of failing to use effective vocal delivery in a professional context is
1. The speaker is not able to use effective vocal delivery; then, the listener does not show interest in listening, which leads to a reduction in attention.
2. Failure to communicate the message effectively and impactful to the audience.
