We have a tendency to think of stress a mental state or an emotional condition. While this is partially true, stress affects much more than just our minds. Whether it comes from a single situation or an ongoing condition, stress affects our bodies as well as our minds. It releases a wide variety of hormones, impacts our sleep cycles, tightens our muscles, and can even do long-term damage to vital organs.
