What happens to sound when interference occurs?

What happens to sound when interference occurs?

Interference of Sound Wave

When two sound waves are propagating in a medium and they meet up to possible interference happens. This is due to the nature of the wave where they are made of crest and trough. These two properties is the primary factor on what kind of interference will happen when the two sound waves meet up.

Answer and Explanation:

When sound meets in the same medium two cases can happen. Constructive interference happens when the amplitude of the sound wave adds up. This happens when crest meets crest and trough meets trough. Destructive interference happens when crest and through don't meet up and they cancel each other.
