What is the difference between Hotel and Restaurant Management and Hospitality Management?
Hotel and Restaurant Management:
In 2015, there were over 5 million hotel rooms in the U.S. alone. There were 660,755 restaurants in the U.S. in 2018. Studying hotel and restaurant management would provide someone with the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully manage one of these hotels or restaurants.
Answer and Explanation:
Whereas hotel and restaurant management focuses only on working in hotels and restaurants, hospitality management is a broader field. It includes many other venues for working with the public including private clubs, event planning, tourism businesses, travel agencies, food services, and any other business which caters to guests and the public.
