Why did Jane Addams create the Hull House?
Often called the ''mother of social work,'' Jane Addams made it her mission to help immigrants and the poor around the world. Since she was a child, Addams had held various goals about helping the poor. In 1889, she opened the Hull House in Chicago, Illinois.
