About This Course
In order to pursue a career as a real estate appraiser in the state of Florida, you must first pass the Florida Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB) Certified General Appraiser Exam. About the Exam
The Florida AQB Certified General Appraiser Exam is a computer-based exam that is comprised of 100 questions derived from the Florida real estate code. The exam is taken in one of several predetermined testing centers, which are located throughout the state of Florida. In order to pass the exam, you must receive a score of at least 75%. There is no penalty for wrong answers, so you should be sure to answer all 100 questions on the exam. A few of the questions will be experimental pilot questions that will not affect your final score. You will have a total of four and a half hours to complete the entire exam.

Once you have completed a specific chapter, you can test your understanding of that particular topic by answering the questions found in the chapter's practice quizzes and final exam.
Registration for the exam is done either online or over the phone, via Pearson VUE testing services. Exam spaces are given on a first-come, first-served basis, so you are strongly advised to register for the exam at least five days prior to your preferred exam date. You are authorized to bring a calculator to the exam, provided that it is silent, battery-operated, nonprinting, and without an alphabetic keyboard. No other personal items may be brought into the exam room.
