FTCE Business Education 6-12 Exam Information
Teachers who aspire to teach business concepts to middle and high school students in Florida must obtain proper certification before doing so. The FTCE Business Education exam is used to measure a teacher's ability to instruct these topics and it is important candidates are fully prepared for this exam.

Preparing and Register for the FTCE Business Education 6-12 Exam
Registration for the exam is available online. After creating a user account and responding to questions about your academic background and experience, you'll be able to choose a test location and date. You can also select the codes for the schools you'd like to have your scores sent to when they're available. After you've completed your registration, you'll receive an admission ticket via email that you'll need to bring with you on your testing day. On the day of your test, be prepared to provide two forms of identification, including photo identification. Cell phones, written notes, electronic or audio devices, food or drink, watches, dictionaries and calculators have to be left outside of the testing room.
Along with the test preparation resources found on the FTCE website, this study guide has a variety of video lessons available to help you get ready. These engaging lessons cover the full range of topics that you'll find on the exam. Quizzes accompany each lesson and can be used to test your knowledge of the subject matter. You can take these quizzes to determine your level of comprehension of business education, and watch the lessons to review key points that you may need a refresher on. Afterwards, re-take the quizzes to see how prepared you are for the exam. The quizzes can also give you a preview of the exam's computerized testing structure.
Scoring the FTCE Business Education 6-12 Exam
To pass this test, you'll need a minimum score of 200. The score is determined by converting your raw score and the percentage of questions you answered correctly into a scale score measurement. To get a passing scale score of at least 200 on the business education test, you'll need to answer a minimum of 66% of the questions correctly to pass. Since this is a multiple choice test, you will get your unofficial results as soon as your test session ends. Official results will be available about a month after you take the test. However, your results won't show a score; if you score a 200 or higher, your report will show Pass, otherwise, you'll see 'Not Pass.' You'll have access to your score report for 60 days after the release date. A fee is required if you need a duplicate report sent to you after 60 days.
