The FTCE Chemistry test is a comprehensive exam designed to test your ability to teach chemistry to students from grades 6 to 12. You will be expected to take and pass this exam in order to teach this subject to middle graders and high schoolers in Florida. The video lessons provided in this course will help you to study everything you could see on the exam, including measurements, the periodic table, chemical bonding, atomic theory, and energy and matter. This course provides you with the opportunity to learn all you will need to know to take the FTCE Chemistry 6-12 exam. Review lessons as often as needed to achieve a full understanding of each of these objectives:

Preparing & Registering for the FTCE Chemistry 6-12 Exam
This Study.com course gives you video lessons and self-assessment quizzes to provide you with the best opportunity to pass the FTCE Chemistry exam. The exam provides a very specific outline of what material to expect, and this course includes everything to prepare you in advance.
Registration for the exam can be done on the FTCE website, and you will choose an available date at the time of your registration after creating your account. You can also opt to have your scores sent to a school district and/or university as soon as they are available. You should arrive thirty minutes prior to the exam time with your admission ticket and a photo ID. A scientific calculator, periodic table and chemistry reference sheet will all be provided to you for the test; no outside material is allowed.
Scoring the FTCE Chemistry 6-12 Exam
The FTCE Chemistry exam consists of approximately one hundred multiple-choice questions. Seven different areas of chemistry will be examined, with different percentages of the total test devoted to each section. Your verdict of pass (a scaled score of 200 or more) or fail will be available as soon as you are finished with the exam, and official scores will be released approximately four weeks after the test date on a Tuesday after 10:00 PM EST.
