About the Exam
The GACE Program Admission Assessment exam is mandatory for some applicants to teacher preparation programs or for some holders of non-renewable certificates. Test II, which covers math concepts, is the second part of three tests that make up the exam. You can take each test individually or tackle them all in the same session. Test II contains 56 multiple-choice questions, administered by computer, and you'll be given 85 minutes to answer them.

GACE Program Admission Assessment Test II Mathematics Preparation & Registration
This study guide can help you review topics found on Test II of the GACE Program Admission Assessment. You probably studied many of these concepts in high school and college, but that may have been several years ago. Our lessons will help you regain your understanding of ratios and proportions, fractions and types of numbers. You'll look at how to solve many types of mathematics problems, while other lessons deal with algebraic expressions and figures in geometry. The quizzes that are paired with these lessons can help you practice your math skills and assess your knowledge.
You can take the GACE Program Admission Assessment Test II Mathematics exam at testing centers throughout Georgia, in other states and at some international sites. The test is offered during several testing windows spread throughout the year. To register, you will need to create an account at the GACE website and select a test site and date. You'll be asked for personal data as well as the names of institutions that should be notified of your test scores. Registration must be completed no less than two full days before your chosen test date. You'll receive an admissions ticket that you must print and bring with you to the testing center on test day, along with an approved photo ID.
GACE Program Admission Assessment Test II Mathematics Scoring
Immediately after completing the test, you will have to decide if you want to keep your score or discard it. If you opt to retain it, you will get an unofficial score right then. The official score report will be posted to your GACE account within two or three weeks of the testing date. Your specified institution will also get a notification. The minimum passing score is 220. Incorrect answers don't count against you, so feel free to guess if you aren't sure of an answer. The scores will be valid forever.
The GACE Program Admission Assessment Test II Mathematics exam is divided into four subareas. Test II has 56 multiple-choice questions, and you have 85 minutes total to answer them.

Percentage of the test: 30%
Exam topics covered: Ratio concepts, problem-solving with ration reasoning, proportional relationships, multiplying and dividing with fractions, common factors and multiples, operations with rational numbers, integer exponents and quantitative reasoning

Algebra and Functions

What you'll study: Variables, simple algebraic expressions, commutative and associative properties, equivalent expressions, one-step equations, equations with multiple steps, simultaneous linear equations, functions and operations with functions are among the topics covered in this comprehensive study guide.
Percentage of the test: 20%
Exam topics covered: Relationships between geometric figures, the Pythagorean theorem, theorems regarding circles, area, angle measure, volume and geometric models

Statistics and Probability
