Prospective teachers in the state of Minnesota must pass the MTLE Pedagogy - Secondary (Grades 5-12) exam in order to receive certification. The exam is made up of two subtests, and both must be passed in order to be certified.

- Question Type: Multiple-choice questions
- Time Limit: Two hours (one hour per subtest)
- Exam Cost: $95 ($47.50 per subtest)
