Preparing & Registering for the OAE Early Childhood Education Assessment
This study guide can help you familiarize yourself with the topics covered on the OAE Early Childhood Education assessment. Following each lesson is a short quiz to test your knowledge of the materials and provide insight into the formatting of the questions on the actual assessment.
Taking this assessment requires registration, which can be accomplished online by creating an account with the Ohio Assessments for Educators. Once you've registered for an account, you can find an assessment center near you, choose the date to take your assessment and set your appointment for the test. You can specify during the registration process up to three program providers that will receive your assessment results along with the Ohio Department of Education and your education preparation institution.
Scoring for the OAE Early Childhood Education Assessment
Scores for your assessment will be released on average from two weeks to slightly over one month after taking the assessment. Score reporting dates and times are based on your test-taking dates and whether you receive your score by email or in your account. A score of at least 220 points is required to pass the OAE Early Childhood Education assessment.
