About the Exam
All potential real estate salespeople in the state of Virginia must pass both the national and state portions of the Virginia Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Exam. There are a total of 120 questions on this computer-based exam, with 80 questions in the national portion and 40 in the state portion. Test takers have 150 minutes to complete the entire exam. All questions are multiple-choice. To pass the exam, one must correctly answer a minimum of 56 questions in the national portion and 30 in the state portion.

All major topics you can expect to be tested on when taking the Virginia Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Exam are covered in this study guide. Once you create an account on this site, you will be able to submit any requested information, make payment and schedule the date and location of your exam. You must bring two forms of ID to the testing site on the day of your exam.
