Fourth grade is full of numerous math terms. This set of flashcards will cover different topics including time, measurement, geometry, multiplication, division, and fractions. The front of each flashcard will include the vocabulary word. The back of each flashcard will include the definition.
Factors are two or more numbers that you multiply together in a multiplication problem to produce a new number.
Ex. 3 x 5 or 6 x 7
The product is the answer you get when you multiply two or more numbers together.
Ex. 3 x 5 = 15, 15 is the product.
Any number that can be divided by another number evenly.
Ex. 14 / 2 = 7, 14 is a multiple of 2 and 7
A symbol used for a number not known in a math equation.
Ex. x or a
A given number out of one hundred.
Ex. If there are 100 cookies and 38 of those cookies have chocolate chips, then 38% of the cookies are chocolate chip.
Contains a whole number and a fraction
Ex. 2 ?
Numbers that tell the order of something
Ex. First, second, third, fourth, etc.
The chance of something happening, usually written as a ratio
Ex. 1:3, There is a one to three chance of it raining today.
