A line segment is a line where both sides are an end point. A line segment can also be a line that connects two points.

Hour
An hour is a unit used to measure time. An hour is made of 60 minutes. There are 24 hours in 1 day. On an analog clock, the hour hand is the shortest one.

Multiples

Any number that can be divided by another number evenly.

Ex. 14 / 2 = 7, 14 is a multiple of 2 and 7

Variable

A symbol used for a number not known in a math equation.

Ex. x or a

Consecutive
Numbers that go in order with no missing parts.
Percent

A given number out of one hundred.

Ex. If there are 100 cookies and 38 of those cookies have chocolate chips, then 38% of the cookies are chocolate chip.

Mixed Number

Contains a whole number and a fraction

Ex. 2 ?

Ordinal Numbers

Numbers that tell the order of something

Ex. First, second, third, fourth, etc.

Probability

The chance of something happening, usually written as a ratio

Ex. 1:3, There is a one to three chance of it raining today.
