Flashcard Content Overview

One of the things that the English language is most famous for is how many exceptions there are to its grammar rules. And this applies to irregular plural nouns, too! In this flashcard set, you will review more than two dozen common nouns with irregular plural forms. This set includes nouns that don't follow the basic plural rule to add an 's' or 'es' at the end of the word.

Some irregular nouns, like those that end in -f or -fe, -us, -is, and -on, sometimes follow a pattern when making them plural. Knowing the pattern allows for changing unfamiliar irregular nouns into their plural form with relative ease. Other irregular nouns follow no set pattern in their plural form, and must simply be memorized.
