Candy is an old man who lost his hand in an accident. He offers money from his savings to help George and Lennie realize their dreams.
This character is smart and intuitive. He understands the relationship between George and Lennie while most people do not. He helps out on the land and even with Lennie when he needs protection.
Slim is a compassionate man. He becomes a good friend to George and Lennie. He is also hardworking and earns the respect of the other workers.
For every good guy, there must be a bad one. This character is a cheat and a malicious man. He does not like Lennie and challenges him to a fight, which leaves him with a hurt hand.
Curley is the antagonist, or 'bad guy.' He is the son of The Boss. He doesn't like Lennie for reasons unknown but it may be from jealousy or intimidation.
This woman is critical to the story line but never receives a name. She is beautiful but dangerous. She needs to be the center of attention.
This woman was never named but is referred to as Curley's wife. She gets attention from Lennie, which perhaps her husband doesn't like. She is vain and deceitful.
This character does not get a name and only really appears once. He is Curley's father and seems to be fair.
The Boss, as Curley's dad is referred to, appears to be a level-headed man in charge of the ranch George and Lennie work on.
Of Mice and Men follows two men, George and Lennie, as they work on a _____. They are migrant workers.
George and Lennie work on a ranch and dream of owning their own farm one day.
