The connection between a child's temperament and the actions of his or her parent. Parents who match care to the temperament of their child have a better degree of this.
Temperament: Easy or Flexible
These children are usually happy and are hard to upset.
Temperament: Active or Feisty
Children with this temperament can be easily scared and fussy. They may need extra activities to get out energy and periods of quiet.
Temperament: Slow to Warm or Cautious
This temperament is characterized by initial distrust of new situation. Parents may need to stay with these children in new environments.
Speech Delays: Causes
These delays may be the result of hearing loss, a cleft palate or certain developmental disorders.
Receptive Speech Delay
This kind of speech delay occurs when a child can make the sounds associated with speech. However, they child cannot understand what others are saying.

A type of developmental that occurs when children don't develop the ability to speech at the ages we would expect them to.

Placing a child in this environment can provide opportunities for socialization, help from educated employees and structure to the child's day.
Cognitive Development
