Warm-Up and Preparation

  • Distribute the lesson Amazon Rainforest Deforestation: Facts & Statistics and read the first section 'The Amazon Rainforest' together.
  • Share an image of the Amazon and have students locate the rainforest.
  • Define 'deforestation' and make a chart on the board labeled 'The Amazon Rainforest - Deforestation.'
