Arthropods are all around and tremendously outnumber us. Your students will gain an understanding and appreciation for arthropods as they read and discuss a text lesson, create arthropod flipbooks and take a quiz.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • identify members of the phylum Arthropoda
  • describe characteristics of arthropods
  • explain the different types of arthropods

  • MS-LS1-3- In multicellular organisms, the body is a system of multiple interacting subsystems. These subsystems are groups of cells that work together to form tissues and organs that are specialized for particular body functions.
