Basketball Shooting Lesson Plan for Elementary

This is a lesson plan for physical education focused on basketball shooting. By rotating between activity stations, your students will practice shooting baskets in different circumstances and practice teamwork as well.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate good basketball shooting techniques
  • Demonstrate hand-eye coordination using a basketball
  • Demonstrate the abilities to follow instructions and work as a team

  • Basketballs
  • Basketball hoops and/or large trash cans/bins
  • Hula hoops in a variety of colors
