Diving In Deep - Big Fish

The key to any great novel study is great discussion. No matter what you are studying, key focused questions can help you facilitate an enriching and lively discourse where all students get an opportunity to express their thoughts, opinions, and interpretations of the text read. The following series of questions are meant to assist you in creating that type of discussion around the novel Big Fish. The questions are divided by plot, character, and setting/themes, but feel free to mix these around as best fits your discussion. You may even want to assign these to students to do as homework or in pairs/groups prior to having a whole group discussion.
