Accessing the Lab Exercise

Please remember that you will need to order a lab kit from eScience Labs before you can perform this experiment. You can find instructions for ordering the kit in your course syllabus.

Follow these instructions to log in to eScience Labs and access your experiment:

  1. Log in to esciencelabs.com using the account you created when you ordered your custom lab kit
  2. Use this link to access the lab experiment: Laboratory Safety and Procedures

Read through the materials in the lab presentation and complete the questions along the way. When you've completed the presentation, you will be ready to conduct the lab experiment.

Conducting the Lab Experiment

After you've completed the lab presentation, you'll reach a slide labeled 'Assignments and Procedures.' On this slide, you'll see links to the experiments that you need to conduct. Click on these links to open the instructions you'll need to follow to conduct the experiments. Please note that some labs will have multiple experiments that you'll need to complete.

eScience Experiment Link

Your lab instructions will list the materials that you will need to use from your custom lab kit to perform the experiment. Gather these materials from your kit along with any materials that you will need to provide for yourself. These are often common household items like tap water or paper towels. Once you've gathered these items, you will be ready to follow the instructions to perform the experiment.
