Chivalry Lesson Plan

Instructor: Sharon Linde
Use this lesson plan to teach your students about knighthood and chivalry. A video lesson explains knight training, the code of chivalry and the role it played in the Middle Ages. Student will then apply these concepts hands-on by creating a chivalrous skit and a code of conduct.

Learning Objectives

After this lesson, students will be able to:

  • describe the role of knights in the Middle Ages
  • explain a knight's training and the code of chivalry

  • Chart paper
  • Task cards of everyday events in your classroom, such as walking into the classroom, getting books out of lockers, etc. - one for each small group
  • Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Aluminum foil
