Cold War Propaganda Lesson Plan

What is propaganda and how was it used during the Cold War? This lesson plan examines both American and Soviet Union propaganda and explains its impact on the war. An activity geared toward analysis connects students with the concepts they've explored.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • distinguish between American and Soviet propaganda in the Cold War
  • discuss the impact of propaganda on the Cold war
