In order to convert from one unit to the other, we multiply by the conversion factor. The conversion factor is the ratio of the units set up as a fraction. The unit that we are converting to should be in the numerator. For example, when converting pounds to kilograms, kilograms should be in the numerator of the fraction and pounds should be in the denominator.
