Dealing with Stress Lesson Plan

Dana teaches social sciences at the college level and English and psychology at the high school level. She has master's degrees in applied, clinical and community psychology.

Do your students have effective methods for coping with the stress in their lives? This lesson plan uses two video lessons to educate students about stress and behavioral and cognitive means of mitigating it. An activity helps students put a stress reduction plan in action.

Upon completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • identify potential stressors
  • list behavioral and cognitive methods for coping with stress
