Declaration of Sentiments Lesson Plan

Tammy teaches business courses at the post-secondary and secondary level and has a master's of business administration in finance.

Students will broaden their knowledge of discrimination against women in the early 19th century and their fight for equality. This lesson plan includes a lesson, discussion questions, an activity and quiz.

Learning Objectives

After this lesson, students will be able to:

  • describe the discrimination against women in the early 19th century
  • discuss the events that lead to the Declaration of Sentiments
  • discuss the Declaration's purpose and resolutions
